Church auf der Egg

In 2022, a 500 m² raw earth floor was installed in the basement of the church Auf der Egg in Zurich, replacing the existing earth floor. This project utilized Oxara's Oxacrete® Care poured earth, not only repurposing 20 tons of clayey waste material but also achieving a reduction of 10 tons in CO₂ emissions compared to traditional cement-based flooring. The process involved mixing the material in a concrete plant, transporting it via conventional concrete trucks, and pumping it over 70 meters into the basement for casting.
