"Turning fundamental understanding into sustainable materials"

Annelies Landuyt

Binder Development Chemist

Annelies holds an MSc in Chemistry from Ghent University in Belgium, where she developed a strong interest in materials for sustainable applications. She began her career in CO₂ capture materials with an internship at Climeworks in Zurich. She then completed her PhD at ETH Zurich, focusing on the development of CO₂ sorbent materials.

At Oxara, Annelies applies her expertise in chemistry and mineral-based materials to develop next-generation binder solutions. As part of the Admixture and Binder team, she works on turning fundamental material understanding into practical solutions for low-carbon and circular construction.
